1. cogito ergo sum: I think, therefore, I exist. 我思，故我在。
e.g.The Seventeenth Century French philosopher, Descartes, wrote the Latin phrase, cogtio ergo sum, as essential to his philosophical system; Descartes believed that because a human being can think, that is proof of his existence.
