1. Do not be late. Better be early and keep waiting than late and have the interviewer wait for you.
2. Dress tidily and suitably. Be smart but not too flashy. Otherwise, your interviewers will think that you are not suitable for the post for which you are applying.
3. Go into the room quietly, look at the interviewers in a friendly way, and greet them by saying “Good morning (afternoon or evening) .Then wait for the chief interviewer to invite you to sit down. Do not do so until he or she invites you.
4. Do not appear nervous. The interviewers may frighten or worry you. Try not to show it. Answer their questions frankly. Make your answer to the point. Showing off by speaking too much or by saying anything that is obviously not true is not a good policy. However, put your best foot forward.
5. Before you go into the room for the interview, you may think of some questions which a new employee should know ask them if or when you are invited to do so. This will make the interviewers think that you are interested in the post for which you have applied.
6. When the chief interviewer indicates that the interview is at an end, you should get up, and say, “Thank you,” before you leave the room.
