2013年1月15日，扬州网报道了5个老外以全程自助游的形式来给扬州旅游“把脉”。昨天，来自美国乔治亚州、拥有一头漂亮长卷发的Nikki第一个提交了她在扬2日自助游的旅游体验报告。
记者了解到，其他几位外国友人也将于这两天陆续提交他们在扬游玩的所思所感。届时，旅游部门将根据5份报告综合整理出一份扬州旅游“体检报告”。

Sightseeing:
Ge Garden was very beautiful and peaceful. Quite large actually. The ticket had a map on the back of it which I didn't notice until I had already left. The map would have been very useful because I found myself walking around in circles. But to be honest I don't know if that map would have been very useful, wasn't very clear and detailed. Over all I was very satisfied with Ge Garden and would recommend Ge Garden and Cultural Street to others.Compared with Ge Garden,the map on the back of the ticket was much more clear, detailed and overall more useful. In the room that had the pictures of the family members there was only Chinese, no English, so my advice would be to add English translation in interesting places. I actually got lost in Slender West Lake. I spent about 30 minutes just trying to get out of one area. I think they need more maps posted along the trails, especially in the more deserted areas.I like the Slender West Lake best,as she is so pretty! The ladies that were walking around sweeping were very sweet, they would always smile at me and say hello which is what we do back at home to strangers so it was nice.
Traveling::
Using a taxi is the most efficient and quickest way to get around Yangzhou. I didn't have a problem getting to my destination while using a taxi. The fare isn't too high either. I don't enjoy taking the bus. The bus ride to the zoo took forever, it was nice though that I only had to pay 1 yuan though. It was also hard finding where bus 32 was. I tried asking some people in English but that didn't work out so I ended up asking in simple chinese. I spent about 1 hour walking around the city trying to find bus 32. The tri-shaw thing was nice; it was a little too expensive for the small distance in which I rode it. Maybe the guy ripped me off because I am a foreigner, but it was an enjoyable ride, I felt like I was part of the garden city more.

个园非常美丽安静，而且很大。直到我从个园出来，才发现门票的背面有园区的地图。要是能用上这地图，我就不会在园里兜圈子了。但是，老实说，这个地图做的不是太好，因为不够清楚，不够详细。总的来说，我还是喜欢而且非常乐意向朋友推荐个园以及个园旁边的花局里。相比而言，何园门票后面的地图就好很多。不过，何园里面很多房间挂着的照片和画像说明都只有中文，所以我也就只能看个热闹。建议景区有趣的地方都能增加英文翻译。这次体验的景区中我最喜欢瘦西湖，因为实在是太美了。连扫地的阿姨都很热情，一直冲我笑，说hello。不过在瘦西湖，我走到了一个稍微偏僻的地方，我绕了半小时才找到主干道。建议在小路上，特别是偏僻一些的地方多设几个指示牌。
交通：
我认为在扬州，出租车是最方便快捷的交通方式，收费也不贵。这次体验之旅最不愉快的就属坐公交了，虽然只要花1块钱，但是去茱萸湾动物园我花了大约一个小时找32路车，我向路人求助，但他们听不懂英语，情急之下我只能说一点简单的中文，但他们也不能理解。人力三轮车非常有意思，让我能真正感觉到置身于这座花园城市之中，只是收费有点贵，不知道是不是因为我是老外的缘故。
