Extinction and Prosperity

地球生命的演化经历过五次大灭绝，虽然灭绝原因众说纷纭，但总与大环境的突变有关。每一次大灾难都导致大多数物种消亡，但总有少数幸存者在大灭绝后繁衍兴盛。

Life on Earth has gone through five mass extinction events. Each one was caused by different things, but all of them were related to sudden changes in the environment.  While each extinction event may have resulted in the loss of most species living at the time, the few that survived were always able to spread and prosper.

兴盛无法永恒，终究难逃灭绝的宿命；灭绝不是终结，悄然孕育着兴盛的种子。这就是生命生生不息的轮回。

There is no such thing as eternal prosperity, for it is difficult to avoid the fate of extinction.  But extinction is not the end, it plants the seeds of later prosperity.  This is the endless circle of life.
