Dear Parents!
敬爱的家长：
You have got the materials, craft projects and worksheets your children have made through this semester. I would like to explain and draw your attention to some issues which I consider important. The collection of crafts and worksheets you’ve got are not just memorable cute things. The works may tell you a lot about your child’s development. So being the teacher of your children I keep in mind the children’s best interests and hold in my heart deep love to all of them.
各位家长已经拿到了很多这学期孩子的英文课作品，在此我想对此做一些有必要的说明。最后给您发的这些孩子的作品不仅仅只是作为回忆，而更多的展示的是孩子于此发展及进步。所以作为老师我保持着对他们浓厚的爱及时刻铭记孩子所感兴趣的一切事物。
Please, look through the papers and see:
从她们的作品中我们可以看到：
1) When your child colors the picture – how many colors he/she uses? If more than 2 it is good, if more than 3 it is excellent, if always just one – please! - talk to your child and see if there are some concerns your child may have about daily life, family or school. If there is anything your child is unhappy about? Otherwise just teach your child more about the world around us – the sky is blue, the grass is green - always try to draw his/her attention to what are the colors around us.
1）当您孩子在涂色的时候——她会开始考虑选用有多少颜色？如果多于2种颜色是好的，如果多于3种颜色是很棒的表现，如果仍然只有一种——请和孩子多多沟通并引导孩子多细节感受身边的环境，家庭或学校。如果于此会有出现孩子不感兴趣或不喜欢的，家长们还可以带着孩子多多感受世界的其他美好事物——如蓝蓝的天，嫩绿的草地——尽量让她们关注身边不同颜色的事物。
2) how good he/she is tracing letters of the alphabet – when straight lines are more or less straight – it is excellent, if the straight lines are curved but still on the track it is good if there are no traces at all or just some scribbles – it means eye-hand coordination is not quite good and needs some attention and development. In this case draw pictures together with your child sometimes – teach that there are different types of lines you can draw: straight lines, curved line, zigzag, etc. – there are plenty of special books in every bookstore with special tracing line pictures.
2）关于孩子是否能良好的描写字母——当直线或多或少有些不太直——这已经是很棒了，如果画直线部分只有少部分的缺失这也是不错的了，但如果在需要画直线部分几乎一点都没有描写上，这意味着孩子的手眼协调还需要更多的集中精力和练习发展。如果是这样的情况建议家长可以适当找些机会和孩子一起画画，教他们画不同方式的线条（笔画）：如直线条，弯线条，折线条等等。在很多书店里会有很多可以供孩子练习描写（“描红字母”或“描红图画”）的书。
3) How your child arranges the pieces of the whole craft project. Usually there are up to 6 different pieces of the object we assemble: body, legs, and eyes – etc. or other things. If your child can assemble everything properly in the right places and you can see the object (for example – a dragon or ice-cream or cake on the plate) your child has good hand-eye coordination and logical thinking, if some parts are in proper places and some parts are not – it’s OK, it may mean your child’s desire to make a thing funny, or “good-looking” in his/her own manner or design. If it is a complete mess – it means you need to develop some logical thinking - there are special age-appropriate books in every bookstore – aimed to develop logical thinking and IQ - how to categorize things, how to sort out the objects, how to compound similar/different objects – etc.
3）关于孩子孩子能否完成整个手工过程——通常需要身体6大系统的整体协调：身体，腿，眼之间协调等等。如果您的孩子能整体协调性好，您可以看到您的孩子能将事物正确的集放在正确的位置上（如 恐龙， 冰淇淋，或放在盘子里的蛋糕）您的孩子的手眼协调和逻辑思维很好的。如果仅有某些部分不对也没有关系，可能有些孩子是故意想做的比较搞笑，或者以自己的方式作成“好看”的作品。如果是完全的乱成一团，这意味着还需要您适当训练一下孩子的逻辑思考能力，提高孩子的智力水平——在书店里同样有许多好的书适合孩子在家有针对性的练习，如给东西分类，怎样协调事物之间的关系，怎样区分类似/不同的事物。
4) how your child cuts the pieces out of the paper – if more or less follows the straight line – it is good, if can cut out a round shape – it is excellent, if he/she struggles with the scissors and cannot cut a simple square/rectangular shape out – the eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills are un-developed and require some additional training. The best practice is to let your child cut some pictures out of the old magazines/books and make his/her own installations.
4）关于您孩子剪的纸手工作品——如果能基本沿着线条，基本沿着线能剪出形状，则这样已经是很棒的了；如果孩子仍然在使用剪刀时比较费劲，比较困难的剪出简单图形,则意味着孩子的手眼协调及基本的机动能力还需要多多增加额外的练习。最好的练习方式可以让孩子自己剪下一些旧报纸或旧书，或者是让她自己尝试修补旧图书杂志。
Please, note that in the kindergarten we do a lot to help your child’s development in every aspect - fine and gross motor skills, language, logical and abstract thinking, creative approaches, but the family plays the most important role in the child’s life. Please, tell your child that you love him/her as often as there is a chance – the children need the verbal confirmation of your love, please, ask him/her about the things they make in classes, please, ask them about their feelings – children need the family attention to feel loved and secured and only when they feel loved and secured they can perform at their best – whatever it is language, crafts or physical excesses.
最后，想说在幼儿园我们已尽量在各方面给孩子多方面的锻炼，提升孩子的基本技能，语言，逻辑，抽象意识，创造方式，但是家庭在孩子的一生中还是最最重要的，尽量多的请告诉孩子你们是多么的爱他/她，因为孩子会不时的需要确定您对他的爱，只有当孩子觉得在家庭里感受到足够的爱和安全，他会更加尽自己最大的努力表现的更好——不管怎样已有的情况怎样，那些已有的作品只是语言，手工，体能的训练等等，期望家长继续给予孩子足够的鼓励和关爱，相信孩子会一点一点更稳健的进步
