a feeling of anger and surprise caused by sth that you think is unfair or unreasonable 愤慨;愤怒;义愤

e.g. The rise in train fares has aroused public indignation.

火车票提价激起了公愤。

e.g. Joe quivered with indignation that Paul should  speak to him like that.

乔认为保罗竟然那样对他说话,气得直发抖。

e.g. Some benefits apply only to men, much to the indignation of working women.

让职业女性大为不平的是有些福利只提供给男性。

e.g. to be full of righteous indignation (=the belief that you are right to be angry even though other people do not agree) 义愤填膺

e.g. The Chinese government expresses its strong indignation over the behavior of the Japanese leader which grossly tramples on the sentiment of the Chinese people and other Asian peoples victimzed in the war and openly challenges the historica justice and human conscience, and lodges a strong protest and severe condemnation against the Japanese side.
