“近水楼台先得月”比喻由于地处近便而获得优先的机会。也用来批评靠关系办事的不良作风。亦作“近水楼台”。

First come, first served; waterfront pavilions are always the first to enjoy the rising moon——the advantage of being in favored position; the early bird cathces the worm; a waterfront pavilion gets the moonlight first;  a person in a favourable position gains special advantages; to enjoy the benefits of a favorable position
