    2. Make the best possible use of the technical facilities.

    3. Ensure they can hear both the speaker and themselves.

    4. Maximize concentration.

    5. Not be distracted by focusing attention on individual problematic words.

    6. Cultivate split attention, with active, analytical listening to speaker and critical monitoring of their own output.

    7. Use, where possible, short, simple sentences.

    8. Be grammatical.

    9. Make sense in every single sentence.

    10. Always finish their sentences.
